Welcome to the home page of Kirkbymoorside Community Library and Information Centre. We have existed as a community library since transitioning from a County Library on 1st April 2017. The library is now entirely managed and run by dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Our aim is to keep the library at the very heart of the community, providing a safe place for contact, information and support to all.
We’re here for all ages and the library is free to join. Just call in and you’ll be a member in a few minutes. You can then borrow books, large-print editions, books for children and teens, rent audio books and movies on DVD and use library services. We have public use computers and a home library service is available for those not able to access the library.
We are a library run for the community by the community, working in partnership with North Yorkshire County Council.

Library Re-opening 12 April
Spring is on its way, and with it, the hope of getting back to something like normal. In accordance with the Government’s roadmap, we are planning to re-open the library from Monday 12 April.
We look forward to welcoming you back. For everyone’s safety we will continue with all Covid secure measures that were in force prior to lockdown. Please note that all borrowing dates have been extended to 30 April to give everyone some leeway to return items.
Opening hours from 12th April 2021 are:
Monday to Saturday between 09.30am and 12.00pm
Increased hours and relaxation of measures will be introduced in time when we are able to do so.
For further information, or to book computer time, please telephone 01609 534557 during opening times or email firstname.lastname@example.org
